An answer to prayer

I wanted to update you all on the prayer request I blogged about a couple months ago. I had asked for prayer for my sister's boyfriend, Jay, and his situation with the VA. In short...he was misdiagnosed by the medical staff while he was serving in the Navy, and has had complications ever since. It has been a rough road for him, and at first was denied any help from the VA, but recently he re-appealed them for help, and was granted VA benefits for life, plus retroactive payments for past medical bills. Needless to say, he and my sister are ecstatic. Thank you for praying. God is good!

A Prayer Request

Those of you who grew up in church, remember the prayer chains? I know they still exist....and I thought maybe my blog could work as one for this urgent prayer request;

My sister, Bethany's boyfriend, Jay, has been suffering from awful psychological side effects from drugs that were given to him when he was misdiagnosed while serving in the Navy. He has been out of the Navy for some time now, has sought doctors opinions outside of the Navy and has petitioned the VA to help him out, financially, and they have not responded....until now! He has an appointment on Thursday (July 3rd), with the VA. Please pray that they listen to what he has to say (the Navy was not happy that he sought outside medical help), that they have compassion on him, and that they help him with his medical bills and current treatment necessary. Thank-you so much!
