My father-in-law and I planted these rose bushes in my front yard last year, and I just had to share a couple pics of them...they are so beautiful this year. I have been so glad that I haven't killed them yet! Thank goodness, they are suprisingly easy to take care of....especially for people like me that certainly do not have a green thumb.

Sweet things
So as Chris was putting Annabelle to bed the other night, and after singing "Jesus loves me", Annabelle had some questions for Chris:
Annabelle: "Jesus loves me even when I am bad, right daddy?"
Chris: "Yes, he always loves you."
Annabelle: "Why does he want to live in my heart?"
Chris: (I am sure he gave a good explanation here:-) Then after the explanation...."would you like to ask him into your heart?"
Annabelle: "Maybe tomorrow dad."

We were invited by some friends to their beach house in Longbeach, Wa. this last memorial day weekend. It was great fun! I had been to Longbeach on youth retreats to “The Dunes” retreat center, but have never really explored Longbeach. And fun fact for you…did you know that the beach in Longbeach is also a highway? It is dubbed “the world’s longest, driveable beach”. You are playing in the sand and watching out for cars all at the same time…pretty cool, and kinda weird. Gotta really watch out for your little ones. And longbeach is known for the very odd and somewhat vague “Marsh’s jake the alligator man", you can check him out at: www.roadsideamerica.com

We were introduced to some new games this last memorial day weekend that were so fun, I had to share them with you! They are actually old games, but are played mostly in Europe. My sister-in-law's roommate is a big gamer, and travels alot....anyway, he let us borrow them for the weekend...and now I am on the hunt to try and find them online. All three are great for kids, and Dancing Eggs is a blast for any age.
